Weight Loss Journey Day 4

May 12, 2008 - No Responses

Today was a HARD day! It was my first cleanse day. On the Isagenix plan, you have one day a week where you cleanse. The stuff I had to drink uhhh well let’s just say ew. My friends liked it though. They said it tasted like weak tea. Problem is I don’t like tea that much. I drank 2 of 4 drinks and a TON of water.

I even did an ionic foot bath. Those are so awesome! If you’ve never done one, try it!

By the time I got home today around 4ish I was so friggin hungry. I broke down and ate a banana. Fruit is ok on the cleanse days but it should have been a more water based fruit like an apple. My sister in law was so proud of herself. She cooked a delicious roast, with potatoes and peas. She forgot I was fasting today. Boy did she feel like an idiot. But it’s all good. I can’t expect everyone else to not eat. I did sneak a couple bites in. Not enough to hurt anything…just took the edge off the hunger.

All in all I didn’t feel to bad. I’m really tired which is expected and I have a headache. But I am almost done with my first cleanse and I made it almost entirely without eating.

Looking forward to seeing the results from this. Everyone I talk to says they have heard nothing but good stuff from Isagenix. We shall see!

Weight Loss Journey Day 3

May 12, 2008 - No Responses

Today was pretty good. With the exception of the cool whip on my strawberries I did really good. I found that taking an appetite suppressant helps the cravings. (Note: taking appetite suppressants is NOT recommended or endorsed by Isagenix)

I don’t plan on using them for more than a couple days while my body adjusts to the change. Tomorrow is my first cleanse day. Just so happens to fall on the same day as my massage day so that’s perfect. My massage therapist works to break up the toxins in the body so it’s a win/win.

I haven’t seen any weight loss yet, but it’s only 3 days. I think I’ll not weigh daily and do it once a week instead.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL!

Weight Loss Journey Day 2

May 11, 2008 - No Responses

I awoke this morning full of energy. In fact my house hasn’t been this clean in months! It felt so good.
I added blackberries to the chocolate shake…interesting flavor. Pretty good actually. Think next time I’ll order vanilla and add fruit to it.

I did cheat a little and had a few gummy worms. They are my weakness. Will have to talk to my family about buying them while I’m doing this. At least I didn’t eat the whole bag like I have a tendency to do. I also didn’t beat myself up over it.

We made homemade pizza for dinner. I am sure I ate to much of that. I’ll have to be better tomorrow!

The hunger and cravings are hitting at night…it’s odd.

Weight Loss Day 2

May 9, 2008 - No Responses

So the UPS guy FINALLY came! Today I woke up with the excitement and anticipation of starting a new weight loss program. However this time I’m not looking at it as a weight loss program. I’m looking at this as a way to help me get healthy and live the life I want.

Today has been pretty easy. I had my 2 shakes and one meal and a few healthy snacks. Lots of water too. My one mistake was to cut out caffeine all at once. I ended up sleeping for 3 hours to get rid of the headache!

But my mood is great, I went for a walk (need new shoes!). I feel great.

The Isagenix products aren’t that bad tasting. It’s a different taste though because they are healthy and not full of hidden sugars. Once I de-tox it will taste so much better.

On to day two…

Waiting for the UPS Guy

May 8, 2008 - 2 Responses

Have you ever noticed that when you are expecting a package, I mean really anxious for it to arrive, the delivery guy takes FOREVER to get there?

That’s me today. I’m a professional dieter. Not something to be proud of, but something to end. It’s not that I don’t know the proper way to lose weight, I really do. Heck I even have a nutrition coach as a client! I just don’t have the emotional strength to do it. I’m sure many of you can relate.

I know, “How does this related to the UPS guy?” A few years ago I stumbled across a nutritional system called Isagenix. I read the literature, talked to the rep who’s pictures were splattered on her marketing material. She lost so much weight…nutritionally. Maybe not the way my coach would do it, but she got healthy and she lost the weight. And the products aren’t bad…they are very nutritious in their own right. However at the time I met her there was no way I could afford it. So I waited.

I joined Facebook last weekend and had “become friends” with another Isagenix rep. I wasted no time and signed up.

So today my stuff arrives. And I’m worse than a kid at Christmas. I can’t wait. I’m tired of how I feel physically, emotionally and spiritually. I’m ready for a change and today’s the first day! I am so sure that this system is going to help me lose the weight, keep it off, and feel better that I’m putting it out there for the whole world to follow my progress!

Stay tuned…and please feel free to comment, I’d love to hear from you! Where is that darn UPS guy!?!

Are You Ready for 2008?

December 23, 2007 - No Responses

Christmas is 2 days away and right after that is the start of a new year. So many of us create long lists of resolutions each year. We might actually stick to them for about 2 weeks. Then they fizzle out and are forgotten.

This year, don’t just create a list. Create a plan. We make business plans, sales plans, marketing plans, vacation plans etc. Why not have a goal plan?

First, set realistic goals.

I will lose 50 pounds

Set a time frame

I will lose the 50 pounds by June 1, 2008

Make an action plan

I will switch from soda to water. I will limit caffeine intake. I will eat whole grains in moderation, and do my best not to eat refined sugars and pastas. I will block out 30 min a day in my schedule for exercise and if need be I will join a gym.

Ask someone to hold you accountable

This should be someone you trust and who is reliable. They should also be a good motivator.

Set smaller goals and reward yourself

I will be soda free by Jan 15. I will cut out all refined sugars by Jan 31.

I will reward myself with a new book or maybe a pedicure as I reach my goals.

There you have it. Your personal goal plan. You have a realistic goal, an action plan and a time frame to reach it. Do this for everything you want to accomplish and by 2009 you will be a whole new person!

What’s your “it”?

December 2, 2007 - 2 Responses

I have heard so many times that people want to start their own company because they can do “it” better than anyone else…so why should they get paid pennies and the boss get dollars.

If you are looking to start your own business, the first thing to do is to define your “it”. What do you do best? What are you passionate about? What can you do all day every day and never get tired of doing?

When you define your it, be sure to list the limitations. Where do you excel, and where are you so-so?  What are the pros and cons of doing “it” as a way to earn money? Can “it” be done as full-time job?

My ”it” is helping others. It’s what I do best and it’s what I love to do.  This is why I created Your Virtual Round To-it. Now I can help others, and get paid! It’s a win-win. So you sit down and define your it, and feel free to post it here.

Do it now! Don’t wait to get “a round to-it”!
